Simple Summary

We are calling for a mainnet signaling vote to upgrade Paloma to version 1.0.0 on a fresh new testnet, Testnet-16 with reset state for community validators.

Abstract

We ask the Paloma community to support the engineering team in deploying a new test chain (Testnet-16) that will run on Paloma version 1.0.0. Paloma version 1.0 will come with a number of upgrades including:

  1. Paloma’s Cosmos-SDK from version 0.45.11 to 0.45.13
  2. Pigeon validator set Valset ID query upgrades
  3. Compass-EVM validator set ID event emission for faster message relay to BNB chain

This upgrade will also test state export of the current Paloma testnet-15 state so that the community can exercise a state export and recover the network with a new chain-id.

Motivation

  1. To upgrade Paloma Comos-SDK to 0.45.13
  2. To upgrade Pigeon relayer for improved performance on BNB chain
  3. To exercise the community for planned upgrade of Paloma mainnet.
