Paloma Validators that suffer RPC 429 -TOO MANY REQUESTS ERRORS - Will be jailed to preserve cross-chain execution integrity. PALOMA UPGRADES TO COSMOS-SDK V0.50.13
The Paloma Protocol team aims to release a new paloma with Cosmos SDK .05.13 today, Friday. This patch release fixes panics due to non-determinism. It resolves a x/group module issue that can halt chains when there is an invalid state in the endblocker. Only users of the x/group module are affected by this issue; we have seen these halts in private testnet. The objective will be to ensure that Paloma is ready to handle the Paloma’s Got Talent launch. Look out for the release and vote to upgrade.
PALOMA VALIDATORS NEW JAILING CONDITION: RPC 429 TOO MANY REQUESTS
To deliver Paloma as a token launcher on the EVMs and trading destination on the Cosmos stack, Paloma will need to jail validators that are unable to relay due to RPC 429 errors. All Paloma Talent trades deliver Pigeon Feed revenue to validators. However, if validators are unable to relay messages due to Too Many RPC request errors, those validators will need a signal to fix their endpoints. As such, validators will be expected to be aware of performance on their RPC endpoints.
