COO! COO! COOngratulations pigeons! Paloma Upgrade to Paloma v2.4.0 was a success. Token Factories are active on Paloma, but further work needed on Cosmwasm Handlers for Token Factory as well as Skybridge to enable automated token launch, bridge, and trade.
PALOMA UPGRADES TO v2.4.0: TOKEN FACTORIES NOW LIVE ON PALOMA
Token factories are now live on Paloma. Anyone can use Paloma to create new denoms to bridge to any other chain supported by Paloma’s validator set. Paloma users can launch tokens that will trade on Solana’s Raydium, Orca, or Meteora pools. However, this functionality is currently limited to CLI only WASM handler integration and Python SDK integrations are next planned to automated token creation and bridging.
PALOMA TRANSACTION FEES: PIP 114 PROPOSES TO REMOVE TRANSACTION FEES
COO! COO! Pigeons! As we prepare to launch thousands of new Paloma tokens to take flight into the EVM and Solana, we see Paloma transaction fees as a bottleneck to fast onboarding to Paloma. GRAINS are not currently trading and users of the new token factory can easily exhaust token creation by ongoing transaction fee markets. A new PIP-114 and signaling vote will be published tomorrow to signal upgrading Paloma to remove on-chain transaction fees, but keep gas. We look forward to feedback from the entire flock on this proposal.
