Abstract

This proposal aims to re-activate the BASE chain integration with Paloma, enhancing cross-chain messaging capabilities and expanding the network’s reach. By redeploying to BASE, Paloma seeks to leverage the growing ecosystem and potential for automated trading on this Coinbase-backed network. The re-activation will require validators to update their configurations and ensure sufficient ETH balances on both BASE and Ethereum networks.

Motivation

Paloma monitors and delivers messages across multiple blockchains that host the most liquidity transactions.

Specification Overview

Pigeons will need to update their .pigeon/config.yaml with the details for the Base Mainnet, and Pigeons will need to ensure that they have 0.01 ETH available on their Base wallets and 0.01 ETH in the Ethereum wallets, which are already provisioned supporting the Ethereum mainnet.

  1. For the BASE blockchain, we will run the governance command to propose governance for the new EVM chain using the block height 19000000 and at block hash 0xa0d5bc196ab72a8bedcc36cd66c3395adf38feb7a86f340275308a22aa2b6240 from Base Explorer at https://basescan.org/
  2. The BASE ChainID is 8453.
