Simple Summary

We ask the Paloma Foundation to release 1,800,000 GRAINs to a Paloma Claims Contract. These GRAINs are to be claimed by Paloma Genesis Community Validators for their support of the Paloma network series of Testnets that ran in 2022 as outlined in PIP-11 on Paloma Testnet. This vote is for the Paloma Community validators to approve the release of the Mainnet grains into the contract for validators to claim.

Abstract

We ask the Paloma Foundation to release 1,800,000 GRAINs for Paloma Genesis Community Validators to Claim as GRAINs for their support of the Paloma network series of Testnets that ran in 2022. Motivation

The Paloma Foundation’s mandate is to support the stakeholders continue success to build and maintain the Paloma network. The Paloma community validators are one of the key stakeholders as they continue to support the Paloma network with datacenter resources of servers, developer operations skills and software. The Paloma Foundation needs the community to direct it to support this stakeholder group and the GRAINdrop aims to do so.

The Paloma Foundation also needs to release GRAINs from the PIP agreement to be claimed by the Validator set of community validators and this proposal is for the community to signal readiness to claim GRAINs.

Specification Overview

This is signal vote is from the validator community to approve the release 1,800,000 GRAINS to a Paloma Claims Contract deployed to Mainnet that will allow Genesis validators to claim their GRAINs.
